[Discussion] Website updates

Sorry Jaco, I appreciate your efforts but I'm concerned with the direction
the site is headed - It looks feature creep is getting to be a problem
(large photos on front page, 5 unnecessary links on top bar, unneeded feeds
etc).

The events module is actually pretty disappointing (I had it on there
before, it's basically just a way of making posts with dates in the future
and is next to useless).

Is a calendar really necessary, at least at this stage? I like having a
simple text list that's easy to edit and shows all our events at a single
glance.

I've also got a simpler gallery implementation planned out and will try and
demo it for the Tuesday meeting.

Will send Thomas the files & DB to transfer the ste on Sunday (keep
forgetting argh).
