I agree with Jaco here.

Would also add that this whole "it's only $x.y per n" thinking might
be a little off. We are having a little trouble and uncertainty
covering rent as it is and we are already talking about getting a
$10/month VoIP line.

How about exhausting more free - as in beer - options first before
considering paid options?
