Minicom ran?

It ran, identifying and assigning a com port to it /ttyUSB0, yet no data
throughput

No electronics on it at present, sorry. It had the old PIC hardware on
it and I sort of got half way through upgrading it.

No problem, we can still have it there on the open day, as more of a
discussion element showing the improvements from Darwin to Mendel.  We
can sort out electronics at a later date.

It's a simple single binary command line utility (source available of
course) that runs fine on Ubuntu, Red Hat, OLPC whatever.
