The first part is an administrative meeting, until 19:30.

At 19:30, we talk about fun stuff like projects.

• Mark Foster from NZOSS is attending tonight to check out tangle ball facilities for the NZOSS AGM on august 4th, which may be hosted here. help may be requested for technical assistance, with VOIP/TV OIP
• We are showing END:CIV in a few weeks. we could use this as a fundraiser for tangle ball, and charge people a nominal sum for entry/food, or ask for a 'suggested' donation. any suggestions/objections?
  • do we need a license to sell food, say pizza we make?
• shall we have a web-sprint for a forthcoming weekend, to fix the wiki and other TB web infrastructure. we could invite bodies from aucklug/nzoss?
  • how about 16th july?
    • 16 July is BarCamp

• Agree on a licensing policy & state it on site(s)
• another *space called 'personal best' has opened, near K road

Minutes

• NZOSS AGM, 4 Aug - OK to go
• WebLimp - 30 Jul & 6 Aug; complete rework, incorporating CC
• Film night - Not selling tickets & food; it's "a bunch of friends getting together for a social eventing". But TB is always willing to accept donations/Koha; coincidental, I promise!
• Works to be under CC - to be liaised with CC-NZ re workshop & Q&A session; future work by default
• VoIP workshops - liaise @ AuckLUG
• Other groups - interesting, but unrelated
• Fist Thursdays - 6 Oct, 18:00 - 21:00 (Scavenger_Hunt & [[SteamPunk]); exited about more collaboration with Cleo Barnett
• BarCamp is show & tell & audience participation

Projects

• At net hui last week, various members met people interested in tangle ball, including:
  • Jane from 'Creative Commons Aotearoa New Zealand' who would like to know more about the group/meet us/get involved with events
  • Brent from Auckland University, who runs a community radio station on Waiheke Island and would like to know more about what we do
  • Fiona from 'Digital NZ - A-tihi O Aotearoa', who organises an annual data and creative remix/mashup competition called 'mix and mash' - see http://www.mixandmash.org.nz/ for more
    • perhaps we could enter something - there is an opportunity to partake in a community initiative, promote tangle ball and win a $10,000 prize?
  • Robin is in contact with Jane, Fiona and Brent, and has invited them to Tangle Ball
• The collaborative writing event has been launched. please promote, invite and/or come along. 21st july at 6:30pm
• the rainwater barrel has been substantially delayed - it will be over a month until it can be delivered. any ideas how we could:
  • pick it up from coromandel
  • get another
• Robin knows an artist who is looking for collaborator(s) to work on a project involving weather data. The artist would like to meet someone with technical expertise to process the data - he will be visiting tangle ball at 8pm this evening. see here for more info: Weather Pong
• Planning for BarCamp
  • Can we move to a different session? (Abhishek wants to attend something else at the current slot.)
    • Yes; just needs to be moved. Can do during meeting --Jaco 16:44, 4 July 2011 (NZST)
  • Run through plan for the session. (Abhishek suggests facilitated discussion much like recent NetHui streams, as is usual for unconferences.)
