Time and Place

• Title: Tangle Ball Auckland Meeting
• When: Tuesday, 30th August, 7:00pm - 8:30pm; repeated Saturday, 3rd September, 2pm - 3pm
• Where: 27 Edinburgh Street, Newton

• The first part is an administrative meeting, until about 8pm

• At 8pm, we talk about/show projects we are working on, would like help with, or want to demo.
  • If you have not visited before, and would like to suggest a project, ask for help or tell Tangleball what you are doing, this is probably the best time to visit.

All are welcome to either.

• Chair decides who will speak next
• Keep discussions constructive; avoid posing problems - rather offer solutions
• All must get their turn to speak
• Don't let one or two people dominate a conversation
• No talking over anyone else
• Raise your hand if you would like to speak next
• Ensure all items are covered to satisfaction of all
• Don't let the topic wander, until all items listed are covered
• Admin meetings are only for items which concern everybody
• Make sure newcomers feel welcome

• Calvins mate Barbra enjoyed the open day, she has expressed and interest in holding her daughters birthday party at TB on Sep 17. Sat 10 - 3pm. Discuss. Kids, Screen printing. Zines, Angry Birds 3d. BBQ Bookings?

• Suggestion, we need to plan ahead to make sure promotion of open days is done a min of two weeks prior to date of open day.

• Any objections to moving collaborative story workshop to 1st and 3rd thursdays of the month?

• Tangleball GeoCache needs to be moved, needs to be more than 160 metres away from nearest existing Cache.

• The music instrument building workshop
  • Who is hosting this?

  • Jaco will fix tomorrow STOP.
• The Wall of Tangleball. Who built it all?
  • CK. suggests Anchoring a 2x4 beam to the floor with dynabolts, and attatching the base of the wall to the 2x4 with bolt head screws. Also the wall partitions should be attached to the wall with galv strapping or similar, to make it more secure.
• Barb's party. Info. 10-12. ten year old kids. One adult per 2 children, She is happy to pay a small donation at level suggested.

Main concern is around safety. Suggest a saftey check of the space, identify hazards, this will benefit all members, especially those with small children.

• Let's have a sort out of the partial boxes of stuff. Get the place presentable again. Empty bins and put away kitchen-ware before going home. If you used it, you used it. Sort it. Don't leave it for others. If you use tools, return them to their place of residence. Sweep up during and after your work.
• Tangleball. Trademe. We need a new trademe person. To put things onto trademe. Any volunteers.
  • Barb has tentatively agreed to be the trademe tangler, but as she will be mostly doing this from home, she will need pictures taken of items and forwarded to her by email.
• Where is the Tangle-phone's micro USB cable?
  • Whoever took the short micro USB cable on Tuesday, please return it. It belongs to the Tangle-phone.
